Greetings from Texas

Hi,

Just thought I would introduce myself.

I am an Aussie currently based in Texas, USA, working for a Telecomms company.

My first flight was unpowered (jumped from a fence , waving my arms

when I was about 4  ).

Anyway over the last 3 years (pretty much every weekend) I managed

to get my private, instrument and commercial ratings (ASEL) based

at KADS.

It was the most rewarding thing I have ever done (besides starting

a family).

I swear I still remember my 1st solo just like it was yesterday, and I

am sure I always will.

I am hoping to move back home soon, and was delighted to come

across this group.

Now I just need to win the lottery so I can buy a plane 022_wink.gif.2137519eeebfc3acb3315da062b6b1c1.gif

Cheers / B-17

Welcome B-17. You certainly have been busy over the past 3 years, congrats on your licenses and ratings. It must have been fantastic learning how to fly over in the states with the number of GA aircraft, FBOs and opportunity to use freelance instructors? I did one hour up in northwest Arkansas and was amazed that the controllers were happy for me to do a touch and go at their regional airport (actually nearly as big as MEL) which handles F100s, MD-80s, CRJ etc, you can't even think of doing that here so I’m definitely a fan of the US system. One day I would love to fly coast to coast.
