kgwilson Posted September 2, 2014 Share Posted September 2, 2014 On Sunday the 31st Grafton Aero Club held the second annual Wings and Wheels open day at South Grafton Aerodrome, this time with support from Clarence Valley Council. After the wild weather on Tuesday and Wednesday with 90mm of rain we ended up with perfect weather, sunny, light winds and 25 degrees. The cars began arriving from about 8:30am with aircraft constantly coming and going throughout the day. Statistics from the day Approximately 1000 people in attendance throughout the day 300 morning teas were supplied. 400 sausages & 100 steaks sold plus 100 ham rolls & countless cold drinks Aircraft 36 both GA & RA Gyros 4 Model Aircraft (about 20) Motorbikes 11 Vintage cars 24 Classic, sports and touring cars 28 Stationary engines 6 Race cars 5 Vintage caravan 1 Vintage boat 1 Vintage tractor 1 A few photos follow Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
