Trainee, instructor injured in plane mishap

Recommended Posts

Glad they are OK, looks like an expensive repair job, can't recognize the type. I was there last week having breakfast at the Aviators Cafe. Nice spotDavid

It looks like an Eagle 150 to me.

Reading elsewhere last night aircraft is an eagle and both have various broken bones and the female may lose an eye.

here[/url].Anybody care to take a stab a what an "aborted stall manoeuvre practice session" is?

Perhaps it is, to paraphrase the words of the great Douglas Adams::

"Throwing yourself at the ground and missing"

That's starting to sound a little nasty, the bit about the police investigation. I'm surprised they have said as much at this early stage, makes you think they have their sights set on someone already.

I'm not familiar with requirements for a CPL medical, would the loss of an eye jeopardise that? Tragic if it were the case, the poor girl has hardly set foot on the first rung of her aviation career.

I would like to see more photographs of the wreck, but unless emergency services cut away the cockpit, which doesn't seem to be the case, there is a worrying lack of any protective structure left ahead of the seats.

Here's hoping they both make a full recovery.
