flying dog
Ok, I shall ask on the HTC forum too, but I am "stuck" with an app. HTC Desire. It shows up on othe app list when I press the ^ key (bottom left of the phone) But when I go to UNINSTALL, it isn't listed. How do I remove it? It is called "owner". I may even annoy the person who wrote it too.
Tracktop
Hi FD Don't know the app or how to fix, but a couple of things that may help. Are you trying to uninstall in market program or settings menu. I think Settings menu may have more success than Market? Maybe restart your phone and try again? Guest davidh10
You can also install apps from Settings-->Applications-->Manage Applications. There are some that cannot be removed.
flying dog
Alas it doesn't show up in the "Settings/manage applications list. ONLY when I am on the home screen and press the ^ button (bottom left of screen) :(

flying dog
Well, when I look at the app list (again: the ^ button on the main screen) it shows as OWNER. Un-intall and settings/application manager don't show it. Got me beet'.
Guest davidh10
Well, when I look at the app list (again: the ^ button on the main screen) it shows as OWNER.Un-intall and settings/application manager don't show it. Got me beet'. There's no application of that name on my Desire, so it isn't a "standard inclusion". Only option I can think of under these circumstances, is a "Factory Reset", but make sure all your data is backed up and safe elsewhere first, cause it is going to be painful. That should take you back to a clean phone, as you purchased it.
flying dog
Yes it is/was a downloaded app. The idea behind it is if the phone is "lost" someone can pick it up, see a picture of me and contact details. Alas it is buggy and I want to un-install it.
