patrick55 Posted February 15, 2011 Share Posted February 15, 2011 Bit of a bad week in Zimbabwe (Back home), The guy who owns the bushbaby took 8 years to complete his build and after 3 hours flight time, his gear collapsed while TAXIING ! Also, a Lambada went down, Propeller feathered at low level (possible pilot error I think), plane pretty much a write off but thank god noone was injured in either accident. dazza 38 Posted February 15, 2011 Share Posted February 15, 2011 Hi Patrick, did the bushbaby have safety cables on the main undercarriage, which prevents total failure if the bungees break? Poor guy, I was there when they did the initial flight testing and I don't think I have seen a happier man ! Not quite sure how it was approved for flight without the cables being checked.
