fly_tornado Posted November 2, 2012 Share Posted November 2, 2012 There are a couple @ Kev Wlaters place, well an S12 and a S14. They look ok I looked at one prior to going for the Tornado. The pluses for a Rans is the manufacturer is still in business so you can get parts, sails and airframe parts etc. there are a lot of them about so you are buying a known quantity, they are cheap, there is no welding in the construction. I have looked over an S14 quite closely and like what I see, just prefer the two seats. Only issue is the flight test report I have in Kitplanes mag a few years back was an S12 with a Rotax 912, not the 582 I would be more likely to afford.
