Importing waypoints to OzRunways - New Tool

Guys,

 

I know a lot of you use OzRunways and fly out of spots not on the charts.

 

Am hoping this tool helps you get all those spots onto your maps:

Hi there, Excellent tool for importing waypoints.

 

I often have aerial burning flights with very curved tracks that need to be followed. Upwards of 250 waypoints required in some cases!.

 

Was wondering if there's a way to import a larger number of points at once? i.e. so it's a single plan when imported?.

No problems Heli tracks.

 

I have done a modified version for another guy who flies choppers. It does 200 in a hit.

 

Once you get up around these number OzRunways seems to struggle a bit but that might be hardware related - I'm not sure.

Is there a system for dumb *rses .....ie...me.

Sorry Russ. Have you had a look at the video on the OzRunways site ? Provided you are happy to work in a spreadsheet you should be ok.

 

The video makes it look more complicated than it needs to be. At it's simplest if you just delete my data and type in a collection of Lat and Lon (the green cells) and add a name (code 3) then press generate you have it

Picking up on Russ' point I've done a simplified version that removes some of the confusion, particularly around Names which are not transferred to OzRunways for imported points.

 

To use simply over type Lat/Lon in decimal or Deg/Min and add an entry in the ID cell (All green cells). Press the generate button and you're done.

 

If you want to name the point add name to one of the code cells. If not it will be named by the lat/lon.
