Ira Heilveil Posted June 20, 2015 Share Posted June 20, 2015 One of the reasons I love to fly is because I feel a deep sense of freedom when I do it. I don’t know how to explain that phenomenon. It just is. And, perhaps coincidentally, flying one’s own airplane is also a symbol of freedom. As Vietnam continues its gradual path toward openness, I suspect that general aviation will emerge. Gnarly Gnu Posted June 21, 2015 Share Posted June 21, 2015 Spent a week in the Ha Long bay area a few months back & a powered parachute would have been a hoot around there! Probably get locked up but even with the cost of bribes to get out would probably be totally worth it. Forty years on US dollars are in demand and China is the bad guy; somewhat surreal. The grinding poverty and constraint that is always the fruit of communism is giving way to some freedoms. So in the end the US won; liberty is beginning to flourish.
