kgwilson Posted June 27, 2018 Share Posted June 27, 2018 The Grafton Aero Club is hosting the the 6th annual Wings and Wheels Open Day on Sunday 20 August 2017. Since its inception in 2013 the day has grown dramatically with over 2500 visitors last year. Unfortunately the weather was unkind to us last year which kept most aircraft away compared to 2016 when more than 40 flew in. As well as GA and RA aircraft both local and visiting there were Vintage, Classic and Touring Cars, Hot Rods, Stationery engines, Model aircraft, there were Classic & Vintage Motorcycles, Vintage Aircraft, Wooden Boats, Go-Karts, Vintage caravans, Tractors and a demonstration of their craft from the Artist Blacksmiths. Food and drink is available on site including morning tea in the clubhouse. Of course the event is free to everyone. kgwilson Posted August 9, 2018 Author Share Posted August 9, 2018 Just in case you don't visit the events Forum and you have nothing to do this Sunday, why not plan to fly to South Grafton (YSGR) for our annual Wings and Wheels. The weather is looking great and 08/26 has a centre 8 metre wide sealed strip of 1000 metres in length with north and south grass runways. Total length is 1200 metres.
