facthunter Posted yesterday at 01:11 AM Posted yesterday at 01:11 AM Put tricycles on the ground without flaring? I wouldn't recommend it. YOU CAN fly an entire career without ever flying a tailwheel Plane. It's the flying Part you must get right. A twin will make your feet work when you do assy. So will LIMIT cross winds and aerobatics.. Nev 1
planedriver Posted yesterday at 01:38 AM Author Posted yesterday at 01:38 AM Of course Nev. Would be great to be very proficient on both. It would apear that tailwheels are more popular in the US than here? Like many, I just love The Beatles. 1
facthunter Posted yesterday at 02:09 AM Posted yesterday at 02:09 AM You do need to be MORE RECENT with a tailwheel. I'm resistant to the idea that to be a REAL pilot you MUST have one. They are harder to get Insured and most Unlikely to be available for Hire.. They are Inherently directionally Unstable and you HAVE to limit the Braking or it will tip on it's NOSE. Nev
