Ewen McPhee
VH-UMX has quite a pedigree http://www.edcoatescollection.com/ac1/austu/VH-UMX.html It is interesting to google the registrations to see what went before.
hihosland
[ It is interesting to google the registrations to see what went before. Does anyone know why registrations in 1929 started with VH-UAA and only started to use the VH-AAA series 10 years later? Davidh
Les
Yes,apparently it was a leftover from the British registrations. The 3rd last letter was always U.I think they used 4 or 5 letters in all,or probably still do.
Les
Ewan, Thanks for the pedigree! I reckon the old biplane and my Skipper are similar in cruise speed too! 93 knots.Interesting pics though.
