Can't open threads

I've got a little problem that I hope you can assist me with. I can't open any of the threads in these forums on either of my home computers. The problem started after I downloaded SP3 for XP and the latest version of Explorer using Microsoft updates. Each time I try to open a thread, it stays open for a few seconds before I get an error messages stating that the program needs to close and it then does so. While other web sites are affected, it is mostly these forums (or maybe I'm here more often) that are affected. The first page is not affected, only whenI try to open second or third pages; ie get into a thread. I've tried turning off the pop up blocker and creating a restore point without success. Any ideas???? This one's got me guessing.

I've got the SP3 and haven't noticed anything different.

 

Could SP3 be interfering with another program to cause this?

 

Maybe try turning off pop up blockers and such like?

 

Not much help......
