Somebody knows where to get and how much is for a new windscreen for T500 around Brisbane ?

You cannot buy new windscreens per sey - you have to make them.

 

You require a large enough piece of 3mm Marlon FSX which you should be able to get from any plastic/laminates retailer.

 

Use your old windscreen as a template for the new one - especially for exactly copying over the mounting holes.

 

They are not difficult to make. TOSG has a full set of 'how to do it' notes that I can email you for free if you wish.

Oh, thanks for that, should I start at Bunnings or would you recommend other outlet ?

I do not know about Bunnings. I would go with a specialist retailer and there are a number in the yellow pages.

 

You must be careful about being fobbed off by 'this is the same stuff' FSX is long term pliable and can hold the curves required plus is double sided UV protected.

 

While a new screen can go on nicely in just a few weeks you can start getting pressure cracks and crazing and that will get progressively worse if you do not get the right gear.

 

Pay particular note to mounting the new screen 'lightly' and reusing the rubber washers or grommets etc that enable the screen to float a bit. Despite the size there are a lot of mounting points and it will not come off - so do not overtighten it!

Thank you for your input, this existing screen was cracking from the top everywhere and this process was temporality stopped by drilling a small hole at the end of the every progressing crack line.

 

Also, the transparent silicon was actually doing better to stop this problem and it is not yet in the view area.

 

Never the less, I wish to replace the whole part ASAP.
