blind mans bluff ??

Recommended Posts

Being of the visually impaired pilot type and recently having to pay for new lenses in order to see anything at all ( instead of fuel for the plane ) I have found my new transition self darkening lenses to make reading LCD type displays (gps etc ) nearly impossible to read or see while flying , low light conditions are not so bad but when its bright and glarey its really bad..

any ideas comments etc, ( other than the obvious ,-- take glasses off, try touch flying, drive instead, get normal lenses, learn braille,)

Hi bernardc,

My wife had the same problem, it is the transition coating that is the issue. She had to get new lenses made and have sunglass inserts over the top of the new glasses.

Bob.
