    Finally, I have just received delivery of new stock of the Recreational Flying 250 headsets and Portable Intercoms with Push To Talk.
     
    I will be putting them into the Clear Prop Shop as soon as I can check that the quality the headsets are known for is still up to scratch so keep an eye out in Clear Prop for them to be marked as available at:

     
    These headsets are slightly better than David Clark H10.13 at a fraction of the price. They even have gold plated plugs, 2db better passive noise reduction than DCs and they are so comfortable that even Charter Pilots use them all day.

Some aircraft instruments like pedestal mount compasses, AH's and DG's etc have arrived and arriving soon is an even bigger range of engine instruments. Other instruments have been slotted in the manufacturer's production line in the coming weeks.

    The updating of the Clear Prop Pilot Supplies Shop is nearing it's ready for release stage. the graphics have been done, the software updated and boxes and boxes of new and different products have been entered in BUT there is still many more boxes to go. There are Engine Instruments, Airfield Accessories, Gifts and Novelties, Hangar Tools, Aircraft Hardware like nuts, bolts etc...just so much more. Some of the Aircraft Pilots Brand products have arrived but still waiting on all the different Aircraft Pilots Headset Cables and Connectors. There is some magnificent Aircraft Pilots Flight Bags that have already arrived taking the range of choice in Pilot Bags to 25 different ones.
     
    When it goes live in the next few days there will be give-aways for new orders for a limited time

    Another delivery, they are coming thick and fast, this is the first shipment of Instruments for the NEW Clear Prop Shop and yes stock will be maintained as best as I can. The only bad news is the Instrument Manufacturer is no longer making Turn Coordinators and the reason for the lack of supply has been they stopped manufacturing during Covid and are only now just starting to ramp up production again.
     
    "Due to the impact of the continuous pandemic in previous years,  the labor costs and the supply prices of key spare parts for our instruments keep increasing, so we are unable to control the costs within a reasonable range. Starting in March last year, we stopped production of all models of altimeter, airspeed gauge, and vertimeter. This has continued to this day. There is information that it is expected that we will start production of airspeeds in June and start vertical by the end of the year. There is currently no new news from the altimeter. We also made price adjustments last year.
    We have retained the production of the compass, DG, and AH, and resumed the production of the sideslip instrument. Simultaneously updated the engine instrument and sensor series. I have arranged for the production of the compasses, and the estimated delivery time will take 2 months.We will not produce Turn Coordinators  again. The ASI will resume production around June, and there is currently no time for the Altimeters to resume production."
     
    So, as you can see it is hard to get stock especially things that are specific to the Southern Hemisphere like compasses and engine instruments and sensors for recreational aircraft engines.
     
    So all I could get in this order is:

    The NEW Clear Prop Shop is coming along and should be open by the end of this week...there are so many new products at discounted prices that are being added to the store...just because it is aviation does not mean prices should go through the roof especially for recreational aviators who are flying just for fun and not reward.

    The deliveries are coming thick and fast with new products and new stock arriving. Corrine and I are dedicated to bring the Clear Prop Shop back into the glory days, even discounted aircraft instruments are coming back into stock.
     
    Just now we have had a delivery of Pilot Cases which will end up the cheapest you would have ever seen and yes they are NOT the 2 wheel versions but 4 wheels, compartments for everything yo need from maps, books, clothes, tablet, phone etc.
     
    Obviously not for the casual aviator but we have them covered as well with a hugely increased variety of pilot bags.

    New RF Headsets arrived for testing

    The new remodelled Recreational Flying headset and the new ANR version have arrived to begin some extensive testing to make sure they live up to the renowned Recreational Flying 250 Headset that we have had for some 15 years.
     
    The changes that I requested have been:
    1. Single hand volume use - reports back of having the volume control on each cup was inconvenient for recreational aviators who like to keep one hand on the stick
    2. Mono/Stereo - the Mono/Stereo switching on the 250 was confusing and in Mono mode there was only 1 volume control for both ears. The new headsets have a simpler switch and still separate volume control for each ear.
    3. Variable resistance - about 2 in every 100 of the 250 model headsets were returned because they wouldn't work in an old aircraft due to the resistance of the headset. The new model allows for the user to change the resistance to suit the avionics of an old aircraft
    4. Gold plated plus - it was found the gold plated plugs were not really offering any greater connection for the extra price I was paying
    5. Headband - whilst the headband of the 250 looked really nice, the new headband is actually more comfortable, or so I will find out in testing
    6. 3.5mm Audio Jack - the new headsets have a 3.5mm audio jack whereas the 250 model didn't
     

     
    The new Recreational ANR Headset is BLOODY cheap for a high quality ANR headset. These have all the modcons of ANR plus Blutooth (for music and phone calls) and Aux inputs  as well. They are 29db Noise Reduction ANR and powered by 2xAA batteries

    Update: I am going to stick with the tried and proven Recreational Flying 250 Headset. These have been a great headset of the last 12 or so years with very little parts needed over that time which is why they seem to have a great reputation. But also some more news...Clear Prop is now going to stock the David Clark range of headsets AND AND AND and new emerging brand of both Passive and ANR headsets plus an enormous range of cables, adaptors, plugs, leads, headset parts etc to meet all your communication needs from the brand Aircraft Pilots..
     
    Rebuilding the Clear Prop Shop is a massive task with thousands of products, each one being entered into the software, obtaining a bigger range of stock, sourcing new products etc but it is coming together nicely and hopefully it will go live in the next week or so...stay tuned

    Clear Prop is being rebuilt

    Well it is finally happening, I am rebuilding the Clear Prop Shop and as of today it is almost finished.
     
    The Recreational Flying Headsets are coming back into stock and they have also been updated to be even better, forget David Clark, these are so much better and there is also an ANR version coming as well. They will arrive just after Christmas and everyone knows the very very high reputation the Recreational Flying Headsets have...even Charter Pilots use them as they are so comfortable.
     
    I have also bulk purchased 6" and 9" Safety Wire Twisters and they will be at a price never seen before.
     
    Many many different products that you may have never seen before in the area of Pilot Gifts and Novelties like for example having a mouse pad of an aircraft across your desk that is 900 x 400 in size:
     

    I am even talking to the manufacturer about you being able to order one with a picture of your own aircraft on them
     
    If you are an aircraft distributor then please contact me for getting things like this that you can sell to your customers.
     
    Just arrived are stock of new Radio Transceivers that act as a scanner on all aviation frequencies but allow you to transmit/receive on other frequencies, and even for under $100
     
    New instruments are coming back into stock although the standard 6 pack instruments are still in the queue to be manufactured but they are coming but in the meantime other instruments like engine instruments have arrived.
     
    Also Clear Prop will have the largest range of Flight Bags...all different shapes and sizes much cheaper than anywhere else and so much more
     
    Just because you put the name Aviation on a product should not mean the price doubles especially for recreational aviators who just fly for fun...Recreational Flying and Clear Prop!

    Why I don't fly now

    Went to my eye specialist as my eyesight is extremely bad now. I have had a detached retina in one eye for about 6 months, my bad eye which now has a plastic lens, a cornea graft and still can't see out of it, which has now got worse. I close my eyes and I still see a coloured lit area that makes it hard to go to sleep. My good eye has a cataract so I see double and my glasses are pretty darn strong already so basically I can't see out of one eye, see double with the other and having dancing lights when I close my eyes and try to sleep. They are stuffed
