  1. I can vouch for this device: Just spent today doing the 12 point nuts on one of our 230s, and this made it so much easier.. Great for removing the old nuts and installing the new type - and also for torquing to the required 30ft/lbs, as there is no offset between the socket end and the torque-wrench attachment end, thus no offset calculations required.

Chris did you remove each nut and replace with new and torque one at a time and what did you have to remove off engine to replace nuts.

  2. Attitude airspeed, power height, so if you want to get down nose down power off and side slip because that is what you might have to do to get into a little short patch to park and as you come down like a brick you may want to reduce this rate of descent before impact / arrival / landing. I understand your point but if you need to get down you have to make adjustments or get to your arrival point.

  3. Hi. when I got quotes for hangars the cost jumped dramatically once you go past 15m wide as a stronger structure is required for the span but you could go longer at less expense so 15m wide by 12m deep cost less than $50,000 with concrete slab, supplied and erected insulated Hangar , another one done by a better quality supplier and contactor at 18m wide by 12m with high ceiling and slab cost $100,000. The length of the hangar can be extended easily in the future but width can't be easily done. The cheaper hangars are done with C channel frame and the more expensive with I beams or H section steel beams also whether galvanised or cold gal painted also Insulation becomes another expense also colour or Gal cladding. The door system of the hangar will also determine price. Hope his helps.

  4. I do and there is no renewal of a PPL all you need is GA BFR which now covers high performance RAA aircraft and a medical every two years , so really the cost of a medical and a little extra for the GA plane and then you can if suitably equiped fly in control airspace or hire / borrow a 4 seater when they chip in, no point flying a gas guzzler and high maintenance with empty seats. I owned a C172 for many years and I would spend more than half the time with only two people in it, but I admit you can through some luggage in with only two.
