  1. ? ............... Legacy of Bob Hawke ……. destroy Australian GA
  2. Legal or Illegal It’s hard to determine what is legal or illegal these days since judges want to be a law on their own. One way to check flight cost sharing notices is to research whether any case is heard, and see what the outcome had been, but considering that judges in general, don’t have integrity, you wouldn’t know what the outcome could be in a new case. ‘Judge’ Bill Everson instructed a jury to disregard a fact of murder and told them only to consider whether the murderer has done anything to harm her self. …………….. Sick Sad World ……. and seems to be getting worse.
  3. Check Lists It’s imperative to always use a check-list. I use a laminated modified check-list every time and this can facilitate safety especially if flying varying aircraft types. The check-list itself includes retracting under-carriage and ‘pretending’ this check when on a fixed U/C plane, is worth doing, so that sound Check-List habits are maintained.
  4. Hi Mick, May I ask whether you are in the BFG ? & May I ask whether you are selling land in Upper Barringbar ? ....... There may be another Michael Wallace 'out there' ..... ? Cheers Damien
  5. Sorry to hear that news, .... I hope you soon find viable work, regards dj
  6. Just wandering .... how is Gordon Smith ACCT ?
  7. Assuming you can pass grade medical (have already), study for the CPL theory exams if you’re serious about working within aviation. If you’ve done the BAK and studied sufficient knowledge for CPL, there isn’t any need to sit PPL theory tests. …. It’s just an idea to optimise every cent you have !
  8. related to Graham Tanner Hi Dave, just curious to know whether you are Graham Tanner's son ? If so, your Grand-Dad was a great pilot, highly respected by many (Ansett Airlines)
  9. It's great to see all the enthusiasm conveyed from young members just starting out. I’m from the ‘old school’ first learning to fly in the early 80’s which was great before the gradual decline from 1989 onwards. Prior to 1989 some of the tax raised from the industry was invested into funding all the charts, AIP, nav facilities, etc. These days, the additional costs simply translate into higher tax, but it’s not all bad news. It’s easier to fly now since the current economy supports every one wanting to work. Back in the mid 80’s it took a long time to obtain a licence simply because of limited earning opportunity. This is just a reflection you younger guys might appreciate ? Enjoy your next flight !
