Well, after many hours of circuit bashing I finally flew my first solo circuit today. Now I know the reason for all of those goofy grins I've seen in first solo photos. Looking forward to getting out of the pattern and back into the training area again next week. Andy

Hi All, After many years of dreaming about it and a couple of TIFs, I've finally taken the leap and decided to takes some flying lessons out at Lilydale. I nearly got in the air last Sunday, but after taxiing out to the strip we had to abort because of high wind. Apparently being thrown around in unstable air isn't favorable when learning straight and level flight... Looking forward to a second attempt this weekend, and to many more. Cheers
