Im in the same boat as Jake, Worked casual at a supermarket and managed to afford it just fine... I guess its just people dont know the opportunity is out there, so I think CFI's idea might just be a good one... Any time you have a spare seat, invite someone along for the ride...

You dont even have to pay for it.Just have to get the local newspaper to do a article on your flying school.Thats the hard part unfortunatley.

I find it fairly straight forward, they have links to the important pages (pilot briefing/weather) on the front page... Though the non-important things take a few pages to get to...

Sukhoi SU-27 is my dream plane... Fast cruise, Long Range, Great rate of climb, Great manoeuvrability, Take off and landing runs aren't all that long...

The crazy taswegian... Hows the weather in your country lately? Its been fairly good flying weather on the southcoast of australia... Cant afford to fly at the moment, but managed to log 4 hours on FSX today... Did some navs, A lot of Circuits at various airports and some Airport hopping in sydney... Landing at Hoxton Park was cool... though I did notice Schofields wasnt anywhere to be seen...

Hey all, been occasionally lurking for a while now.... Might start posting a little more here... Ive got plans to build my own plane (own design, fairly conventional though) hopefully starting next early next year. Been flying for a couple years now and lurk many different forums. Along with the plans to build the plane, I have some huge plans that I would love to see happen one day, but I can only work at one thing at a time... Who knows what the future holds... When Im not flying, Im almost always outside with the camera spotting planes, playing FSX, or watching flightradar24.com and listening to liveatc.net (non aviation things = looking at doing a Cert 3 in Fitness & Cert 4 in Personal Training next year to fill in some spare time).... You could probably conclude I am fairly aviation crazy... Quite a few people on here may know of me, and if I make it to natfly next year, itll be good to put names to faces and faces to names. And Im a south coasty who originated from sydney. That just about sums me up.

I just typed in theaussieaviator.net.au & yes went straight to "that other site". This is SO WRONG! It's one thing to have the registration, although I don't agree it is really, but it is another thing to use those site names to redirect traffic to another competing site. It must border on being criminal, well to me anyway.I'll chuck in $100 as well MC.
