  1. A long, long time ago I was a jumper. 500' AGL was my trigger to start relaxing after t/off - especially if I was close to the door.
  2. For his recent birthday I gave my son a certificate to be my first passenger. I made good on the promise today, and Manny and I had a lovely local flight with beautiful fine weather cumulous around us and generally smooth conditions. He loved it, and who knows? Many thanks as always to the little Tecnam for giving us good faithful service.
  3. Anything by Dale Brown - especially the earlier books such as "Flight of the Old Dog".
  4. Correct. Training with Nathan, Sue and Oliver at Secure Air. Wouldn't miss Yarrawonga for quids - I'll be on the look out for you.
  5. Flew (and passed) my Pilot Certificate test today in the beautiful little Tecnam ES. Watch out OZ - nav endorsement next!

    LOL

Two Irish hunters organise a pilot to fly them to Canada to hunt moose. They managed to bag six. As they were loading the plane to return, thepilot said the plane could take only four moose. The two lads objected strongly. "Last year we shot six. The pilot let ustake them all and he had the same plane as yours." Reluctantly, the pilot gave in and all six were loaded. However, even onfull power, the little plane couldn't handle the load and went down. Somehow, surrounded by the moose bodies, Paddy and Mick survived the crash. After climbing out of the wreckage, Paddy asked Mick, "Any idea where weare?" Mick replied, "I think we're pretty close to where we crashed last year."
  7. If it's any help, for me the Eureka moment was understanding that I wasn't actually trying to land but rather to fly a couple of feet off the runway as far as possible and to just gently hold it off as it tries to settle. Practice, practice, practice.
  8. Hi there. I am a student pilot with about 30 hours in a Tecnam P92ES and preparing for my intial RA cerificate and passenger endorsement. Love the forums and discussion, there's so much to learn.
