How can you give up flying once it's in your blood? You will just get a bigger pain in the neck from looking up all the time

I accept all of the comments, warnings and experiences of others but I have not personally experienced this phenomena myself at all.I used to own various 2 & 4 stroke engines on various bits of equipment when I had a 20 acre block. My big 85cc Husqvarna 380 chainsaw new in 1984 was used mainly for felling trees & cutting large rounds off felled trees for firewood & was used annually for 21 years & sold in perfect operating condition. It usually sat for 11 months with fuel in the tank & always started 2nd pull. Same with the little Homelite but it got a bit more regular use & the Stihl scrub cutter, idle in the winter. The lawnmowers, both ride on & walk behind with 4 stroke B&S & Tecumseh motors were unused for 4 months or so in the Autumn/Winter & it was only the ride on battery that had to be charged before starting in Spring with the same fuel it had in the tank in Autumn. Never had a problem & I still have the walk behind mower, now around 20 years old.
.......agree with this the old honda motor seems to start right up after 18 months, still like the rotax fuel to be reasonably fresh though

What use if you can't take a victim ,I mean pax to share the joy of flight withSomething like this would tick all my boxes... -
I would like a spaceship that I can open the window for low and slow then shut it for warp drive engagement all for $20 per hrs tops and fits in the garage with all up price delivered and lic for next to nothing and no certificate required yesterday thanksI wasn't trying to point to any particular type; the question was, "what do people want in a recreational aircraft?"IHere's my list:
I don't want open cockpits.
I don't want fabric covering.
I don't want an aircraft whose fatigue life is completely unknown.
I don't want a flimsy, "Reynolds Wrap" special, held together with pop rivets.
I don't want an aircraft whose GC limits and flight envelope limits are unknown.
I don't want an aircraft that is likely to overturn in an emergency landing, from which escape is then impossible.
I don't want an aircraft that has marginal stability in any normal flight condition; or that has poor control harmonisation.
I don't want an aircraft that is incapable of routinely operating from a croppie strip or a paddock.
I don't want a nosewheel aircraft that has either a small nosewheel or inadequate propeller clearance; I prefer taildraggers for those reasons.
I don't want a nosewheel aircraft whose crosswind capability is limited by "wheelbarrowing".
That's ten "don't wants", for starters. I could go on.
What's your list?
