The visuals on this vid are excellent. .. but the Approach into Opalocker Airport is horrible. ..
I Liked the story of the Bees though. . .

I managed to find the report on aviation-safety.net . Looks like your bog standard refusal of the undercart to lower . Thankfully just one minor injury . Unfortunately I don’t appear to be able to attach the file here , but it is easily viewable on their website .
Thanks mate. . . I saw this earlier today too. . .

Circled for an hour to burn off excess fuel. Looks like main gear failure, but no official info.
-
No other info, just this video.

My other interests wax and wane but anything military, old or new.
Played some Battlefield in the day......level 100 Colonel. ... it's never been better than BF 3.......1 and 5 not real good.. ...4 was ok.
I'm also currently obsessed with UK "Narrowboating" thanks to a video in my youtube "recommended " list.....
I hope to get over there and give it a go for a few months in a hire boat sometime.
Expensive in summer though....
I'm not personally into Narrow boating, but only due to an utter lack of interest from my spouse, who prefers lounging on beaches in Turkey, Greece, or Portugal. . ( and Pre 1983 ), In various parts of Australia. I have spent time with other boat owners though, who have taught me some of the basics.
If the thought of travelling the cut at Four Knots, ( Max UK Speed ) and having to stop at hundreds of canalside pubs to sample their wares, appeals to you. . .. Then you may well enjoy this pastime, whether renting, . . .or buying a boat and living on it. . .

I have tried my old What's Up password but no joy,
I tried to register but the message I got was not encouraging. . . any ideas ?
Cheers in advance. . .

Gutsy man letting us all know you have a 5¼" floppy
Anyone who has the Guts to fly the Simpson Desert in a home made airyplane at 1500 Ft behind a Rotax engine definitely has MY vote in the 'GUTSY' stakes. . .Irrespective of his Floppy . . . .
:roflmao:

Always find it amazing the yank drivers use such lazy R/T proceddures
. . .the Cowboy is never far from the surface it seems !
If we used severe 'Callsign Abbreviation' in UK Airspace the way the yanks do,. . .there would be questions asked ! ! !

I hope that our BEX and family has some high ground nearby, 1 Metre of rain is forecast by next Wednesday. . .

Looks good Phil. What did you mean by "deregulated"?
I reckon we could save heaps by deregulation, but it is a forlorn hope of mine that it will ever happen.
SSDR - Single Seat De Registered.
Aircraft in this category require NO Permit to fly, and are not logged on the CAA Register.

Yes hang around. Only the good die young. You will need follow up to determine the extent of damage to heart muscles. You might also have to look after yourself better. (shock Horror). I even gave up Gourmet Meat Pies and smoking so anything's possible . Good luck cobber. Nev
Thanks Nev, . . . I feel cheated, gave up he smokes six years back ! . . .saved some cash though.. . hoe I don't have to give up Asian Curries, . . .the Doctors told me that there was no real reason that I should,. . but both being from India, they could have been biased !
Currently having to get used to my new daily medication regime, ie. Eight assorted pills & capsules and a good slug of laxative. . . .
will have to leave it for a while to consume my 70th birthday gifts, which included some Vodka. Sloe Gin and Cava, as these arrived two days before the hospital jobbie. . .
Jolly dee. . . .
-
I apparently over did the Birthday cake on the evening of the 2nd June,. . .this ended up with a visit from the Doctor and an ambulance ride to the heart & lung unit for a week or so.
Had an angiogram followed by Angioplasty, to stent one of the cardiac blood vessels. May have to return in future to have ongoing as an 'out' patient.
I managed to escape from the hospital on Wednesday evening just gone, feeling rather sore and sorry. BUT Glad to be still here.

He sells "Medical equipment"?? Say no more. The stuff makes aircraft spares look like the bargain bin.
Manufactures the stuff too . . . . He'd need to. . .on one of his vids, he went to pay his bill at Boston Logan airport, and the fuel alone. 300 US Gallons of Jet A1 @ $8.31 per Gall ! ! ! $645 handling / landing fee, Local taxes etc, etc. . .
A hobby for millionaires methinks. . .

Happy 70th birthday, Phil!!
Why Thank you Sir. . . . :-)
-
He must have gone from F16 driver straight to Wall St banker, to be able to buy and run all his expensive toys.
I guess that's connected with him being the CEO of a multi-state 'MEDICAL EQUIPMENT' company. . . . $$$$$$. . .

30th / 31st May. . . Absolutely deserted airfield.
Nobody working on un-locking down aircraft,. . . Weather Beautiful. . . no occasional visitors . . .only three volts used on the Hand held radio. . .
Most Odd. for one of the (Formally) busiest LSA airfields in the County. . .
Old mate phoned to ask If Id fly with him in his new toy ( A Eurofox ) I said, Sadly mate. . .NO. I'm not current for one. . .and I've never flown the type for two ( Not that the second bit wold have stopped me. . .as it is very similar to a Kitfox, but with a bloody Nose wheel)
So. . .. Altogther, a very sad weekend MIND YOU .. Eldest Daughter has invited me to a BBQ in her back garden on June 2nd, since the Govt. have now relaxed some of their rules to allow this, AND that it is also my Seventieth birthday too. . .. and ( I gather ) that I shall be allowed to consume unlimited Alcoholic comestibles all day . . .
Whatz not to ;like a lot . . .?
Although she baulked at allowing my Old Mate Neville (Ex SAS ) to parachute into the garden and have a pint. . .
Neville God Bless him,. . was one of the original developers of the' HALO' jump. But died in 1996. . .
Taught himelf to fly a Flexwing Microlight in an afternoon,. . .and then found his way 50 miles to Our airfield,. . .here e were having a barbecue in the fog. . . . They just don't make them like that anymore.

I've seen a few of Greg's videos lately ( Nothing much else to do in the Lockdown )
I thought initially that he was a bit full of himself,. . .but after a few vids I warmed to his professionalism. . .
He flies an Obsolete private Jet, ie, made by a division of Beechcraft which cl;osed down and was taken over by another conglomerate. . .
It is an 8 seater, which he flies regularly as single pilot. . .helped no doubt by his experience in F16s in the Gulf wars.
I like all his avionics 'Toys' and wish I'd had that advantage when doing my instrument rating. . . this stuff makes it a bit on the easy side
Bear in mind that in the USA, Jet A1 fuel can vary in price between $2.30 to $8.20 per gallon. . .
This vid is a quick flight between Florida and Indianapolis. . .
