  1. Don't talk about it, I visited the factory some years ago, just after the 2200 engine was released, had the money to buy then (Compete Kit was $35K) ... but the minister for houshold affairs wanted a new house. One of the Guys, (Rod Stiff I seem to remember) took me around the factory, most impressive, particularly the engines. I flew one at the local flying school, a bit like a high speed rollerskate to land after training on a 172. I still hold hopes of building one in the future. It's great to see they've prospered.
  2. Greetings from the deep south (Tassie). I'm a Telecommunications Technician of 54 Years from Launceston. I haven't flown for seven years, but you never seem to lose the urge to get some air under your feet. I have an unrestricted PPL and a bit over 100 hours, mosty on C172 & Cherokee 140. I had a 1/3 share in the 140 until aviation charges and maintenance costs forced me out. I hope one day to own another plane, perhaps a Jabiru or something similar. It's nice to see aviation is alive despite the government's best efforts to make it unnafordable.
