  1. Change of plans folks. I am in Sydney for 2 days, next Tuesday and Wednesday. Chainsaw will show me the ins and outs of Sydney International Airport on Wednesday but Tuesday is still free. I am going to E-Mail a freind of mine ans see if she is interested for a day out on Tuesday. I hope I can meet a few of you.
  2. From http://www.sydneyairport.com.au Also, there may be a bus service running between the Terminals, 470 from Bondi Beach I think it is. Am unsure, but check that out to see if it carries on from Domestic to International. That would be the cheapest option, but remember Sydney's transport is not intergrated. So you cannot use one ticket on different forms of Transport like Melbourne and Brisbane. But I am sure Chainsaw will be able to show you around ;) Yeah but unfortuantly Chainsaw is unable to make it so I will be having a lonly day at Sydney International Airport.
  3. Hey all, As you should all know by now I will be going to Perth on the Classic Wings DC 3 with 60's Relic on Sunday. From what I have been told I will be in Perth on Monday so I will leave Perth the earliest I can which is Tuesday Morning. I decided to take trip to Sydney to meet up with Chainsaw but unfotuantly he can't make it. I will be arriving into Sydney onboard a Virgin Blue Flight at 6:25am on Tuesday Morning. Are there any Sydney Members willing to take me around for the day and do a bit of spotting and photography? I leave Sydney at 3pm that day so I will need to be back at the Terminal at 2.pm. Drop us a Line at [email protected]
  4. Thats's the best part. We did 2 360's, left and right sharp banking...Now imagine sitting in the doorway with the door open 8) This Huey received special permission to take up to 8 or 9 passengers. My Dad was in the RAAF in Vietnam in 9 Squadren in the UH-1H and he one day was going up in the chopper. The door was open and the chopper banked to a 60 degrees angle. He thought he would fall out but the pilot said that because of the force created by the Rotor Blades, he wouldn't fall out.
  5. I was a regular at flight camp from 2001 to 2002 Chop, I never did do the intro camp and therefore am still yet to go up in a chopper, but I did see it doing those manoeuvres you mentioned. I did go up in the Tiger Moth however and took the controls. Did you do any other camps? [smilie=wosschilder28.gif] 22 I wish I could but I didn't have a Brass Razoo to my name. I am hoping to do a few more once I get a job.
  6. Good stuff. I have only been in a Chopper once when I was at Flight Camp at the Bacchus Marsh School of Aviation back in 2003. It was alright but scared the crap out of me when he pulled up and then dropped the nose to make a turn. I tell you I had to visit the Thunderbox after that :D :D :D
  7. Now you have to get plenty of Photos of your Experience. MATE!!!!!
  8. Hi All. I just finally purchased a Canon EOS 350D SLR Digital Camera. I am a new user to it and I was wondering if some of the members on this board that do a bit of Photography would be nice enough to give me a few pointers on The Correct Settings and some tips for 1. Side on Photography ie the mound or beach at Sydney 2. Cockpit Shots 3. Window Shots ie from you seat out to the wing on an aircraft or from a Terminal window out to an Aircraft 4. Cabin Pictures ie Pictures of your seat or an overveiw of say an Economy Class Cabin on Qantas I have a standard 18-55mm Lens but I have also brought a 75-300mm Lens which should arrive in the next couple of days. Any help would be really apreciated
  9. Well if it is going to be cheaper on the airlines and the pilots are better trained I say Good On them.

  11. Great. What is to happen to the Aircraft now? Will it be put on show or will it go to another Airline? I can remember my 1st flight on REX was on a Metro 23 and it was a nice smooth ride. 1 I took 3 other times after that.
  12. That is an awesome site. Its a shame that other Airlines around the world don't do similar things.
  13. Great to see. First they release the New VE Commodoore and now this. It looks awesome. P.S. Glenn, Congrats about the 2500 posts [smilie=cool0010.gif]
  14. Thanks for that Robbo. Sorry Folks. As I was asking is the worker on the belt allowed to be doing that? He is giving a some paper work to the Captain. The aircraft had already left the Gate and was on its way to the Rwy. It was taken at the Dallas Fort Worth.

  22. When was the last time Atlantis flew in space?
  23. In that last photo, the bloke to the right of the Sheila nearest to the camera looks like he is going to have a Heart Attack   . Those pictures aren't bad. It's interesting to see where the crew go when they need a break and to have a rest.
