the lack of detail is concerning.

Things happen for a reason.

The 'press release' is frankly, a joke.

No information of what has caused the problems, no reason to feel that developments are going to move RAA forward...I'd suggest the eyes are off the ball!...while RAA is distracted with this occurence...other things are happening.

Not impressed by the leadership on this matter.

I'd like to think there is more talent out there ready to put their hands up.

Like it or otherwise...recent events at Raa HQ are going to culminate in 'change'.

There is an election happening as we speak...vacancies (due to resignations) occuring as we speak...more to come?..I don't know.

Are we prepared to support 'more of the same'?....OR ..do we have people out there ready to have a 'go'?

While we (the members) have not received any official notification of recent events or any proposals to remedy the problems (whatever they are)..we need to be prepared to stand up and support those who, we feel, can get the results we want?

My main reservation is that we will 'sit on our hands' and say bugger all..".she'll be right!" and so on...

Anyone share my thoughts??

almost worth a dedicated thread where we can exchange links and rumours about abandoned a/c....years ago there was a rumour that there was a mustang sitting in a barn in the outback......turned out to be true!

thanks for sharing your experience with all the members (and numerous visiters)....it's a case of 'those that have (had an engine failure) and those that are yet to experience it!

I still hear the words uttered by various instructors over the years when I encounter a challenge...I'm glad u did too!

seems to be a lack of knowledge of the principles of flight in the RC world...?

a NOTAM will be issued to the effect that all airfields are closed/unavailable to RAA aircraft from 20 minutes prior to last light at the applicable airfield.... Australia wide!

Have an incident after that time....there is NO excuse.

I would suggest that the drug/alcool testing was 'bullying' by the regulator...
