  2. Hi Jeff and welcome.Just remember that,. . . as with most things in the world of "Public" aviation,. . . . believe NONE of what you HEAR and only HALF of what you SEE. . . . and you'll be fine ! ! ! ! ! Plus. . . .have plenty of salt arranged in "pinches" on the table when reading some of the opinions on any forum you might be watching. A lot of the info you read may be useful,. . . .but whether it is useful to YOU is another matter ( !! )

    All the best. . . .

    Phil

( Former Australian aviation appliance operator )

Thanks for that welcome Phil the good thing with the internet people can keep in touch from all over the world and so its a good way to get ideas and advice/opinions out. And yes I am always happy to participate in conversations and different ideas. I shall keep the salt handy thanks and probably only really heed 1 persons advise and guidance at the moment ,my instructors haha.Ok by for now hope to talk in the future the aircraft on my profile is the type im learning to fly in the Lightwing .

  3. Not sure on your age but it is pretty cool when one learns something new, something that is somewhat more challenging than (say) golf or bowls. Let's hope you're got 20 years more to keep at it. I started flying over thirty years ago, still learn new things.

haha am now 47 the older fellas at work say im still a pup and i am quite happy to believe em and I reckon what i will be learning will definately make me a better person

  5. I must admit making the commitment to fly took me a while to decide however now i have done it i wish it was earlier by about 20 years. However you cant turn back time so i will have to enjoy every minute of it and travel as much as i can.Im certain i shall learn heaps and meet and make new friends along the way.I am learning in the Lightwing Sport 2000 at the moment

  6. Welcome Mate.John was my number two pick for a flight school but I just couldn't turn down the bloke who brought the flight school to me on my own home strip.

Hope you enjoy your flying, as I will when I finish building.

    Cheers steve h...

Thanks Steve i see you fly the S i am hopin g to see more of this aircraft as i like to plan well into the future haha and have read up on this model .There seems to be a few good ones out there but the S looks like something you could really trip around in.Hopefully i will get to some events and get a better idea of the insides layout and i must say the green looks excellent.Bye for now if you have a site so i can c more picts of that aircraft yours or others let me know and i will check them out thanks again for the welcome

  7. The Savannah is the easiest to fly by far I think. Its crosswind component is listed as 27 knots from memory

Hello there Savannah owner i have seen that aircraft on the internet and am wondering your opinion on it ,i have a lot of training to go b 4 i think about my own aircraft however they do look nice especially the S model. I actually live at Laidley Heights and do my training at Coominya Flight Training and like i said i am a ways from my own aircraft but like to plan ahead, well ahead haha.Anyways hope to hear your opinions and although i cant fly to aircraft events yet i can still drive so am hoping to get to as many as i can.Jeff
