Oscar do you have any links to reports to provide evidence of your claim of poor structural integrity of the Sting in an accident as I would not want to put myself or passengers at risk if I purchased the aircraft ?

I could be wrong but I thought Go Fly has the south african built Sling different aircraft

I am considering purhasing a 2nd hand Sting and I would like to hear from owners / pilots if there are any issues ,eg,maint.spares availability bad flying qualities etc .I have done a lot of research on the net and all seems good(have to be true its on the net right ).I intend to use it for touring and local flights and commuting to and from work every 2 weeks.Yep 2 on 2 off life's a bitch. I am 180 cm tall and 100kg and wife is 55kg I am just completing my pilots cert (flight test to go next week) and I have a bit under 50 hrs total counting my time in GA a few years back plus doing pilots cert the last six months in a tecnam eaglet so a low time pilot.I have not seen a sting in the flesh so if there is anyone with one in southeast or south west Qld that would like to show me their aircraft ,even a demo flight would be nice also if you are considering selling I would be interested. Yep all happens a bit quicker 1 up and I did talk myself around the circuit .I wasn't nervous as I had the confidence I could do it and I am sure Col wouldn't let me go if he was worried I would bend his plane .Down wind leg goes straight over my house so the family was out watching and yes it felt awesome to finally achieve something I have dreamed of all my life.

Thanks Guys .Wish it happened 25 years ago but thats life .Hopefully get it all done by years end and look at getting my own aircraft .Family and freinds are hounding me for a ride.Flying is like every thing in life ,you learn something every day , the day you dont is the day they put you in a box and kick the dirt in on top of you. First solo today in the Tecnam and its still usable ! Many thanks to Col and Bill for your patience and skill helping to realise my dream.

Hi Jab WW started in a 152 22 years ago now in a Gazelle and soon in a Tecnam P92 if all goes good .Looking at getting my own in the near future ,something that will do 100 knots cruise and can handle bush strips.

Thanks guys ,my handle is from my first drag car a holden 1 tonner with a 409 cubic inch chevy powering it .Always loved aircraft and flying from early childhood .I wish I could have learned when I was young with quicker reflexs etc but I am still not too bad I still drive an 8 second 1/4 mile race car and do ok .

Back in the air after 22 years ,married ,kids and house to pay off held me up .Wifes happy ,kids have grown up and house is paid for now its time to see the world buy more toys and have some fun before I die.Just started on my RAA cert. hopefully finished before summer.
