  1. My thoughts and best wishes go to everyone who has lost with this deal at CAMit. There are no winners here. I have dealt with staff from the office, floor and have spoken with Ian direct on several occasions. Without exception I found them to be helpful, professional and patient and I am so sorry for the loss of this dedicated team who gave the CAMit factory life, this extends to their families. Beyond this I am lost for words except to add that I am sure my sentiment is shared across many horizons. If you know a member of that team personally please extend a shared thanks and a sincere best wish for their future.

  2. A hangar is my ultimate man cave. There are people who love to talk about aircraft at hangars. It is a lie to tell her (or him) "I'm only going out for an hour/couple of hours/until lunchtime". When we can we hang around them all day, we can't help ourselves, we love it. This applies even if you don't own an aircraft or fly or live in the same town as the hangar. They are called them hangars because we are suppose to hang around them!

A CS2 built and flown in 1938. Now standing under a DC3 in the Adelaide Aviation Museum. Located in Port Adelaide, the museum is half a block from the SA Railway Museum which is half a block from the SA Maritime Museum. A really good day out.

I've had a fantastic long weekend of flying. Had a great time at the Wentworth fly-in, did my bfr with Cliff Banks who was at Wentworth for the weekend and then out to Menindee for lunch at the pub today. Took this picture on the way home to Broken Hill, those familiar with the normally red landscape will appreciate the flush of green which is now prominent through far west NSW. The outback is centrally located for ease of access -come and check it out yourself !

  7. I have a Petroni Propeller on my Jabiru. Operating from mostly dirt strips and would like to reduce the constant little touch ups. Heard about 3m propeller tape and have sound advice to only run it half an inch over the leading edge so performance isn't impacted. Interested to hear about other experiences using this tape when using strips which are unkind to props. Any photos of application and Australian suppliers would be helpful.

My Petroni is a 2 blade on a 3300, I am most curious about others experiences using the 3m propeller tape.

  8. Pre flight this morning at Innaminka ready for a sunrise flight to Stephens Creek just out of Broken Hill. Others in the group continued home to Wentworth and Mildura ending a 3 day run via White Cliffs - Thargomindah - Innaminka. Watched the sunrise and moon set both at the same time from 6500ft all with a 30 knot tailwind.

  10. Hope nobody minds that I would like to share my experience I have had dealing with this Aussie business based in Victoria. I have a Punkin Head Cover for my Jabiru 430 which is hard wearing and very well made. I have had a very good experience dealing with this Australian business. They make heaps of covers and accessories for many aircraft types including GA and microlights. I have no interest in the business except my dealings with them purchasing and using their product. Did I mention the fact they are Australian....of course I did! Contact details are Dianne McNamara Punkin Head Air Sports Hangar 28, 51 John Duigan Drive Yarrawonga, VIC. 3730 0429 938 426 03 5744 1990.
