  2. Hey Glen, Good to see you progression on the Buzzard it is looking pretty good. Got a question for you that you may be able to help me with considering you go to airbornes factory quite a lot. Have you heard when they will be releasing the strutted SST wing to the market and will the wing fit straight onto the current XT mast. I have heard from Jeff Blunt that the wing is abit of a ripper as he apparently test flew it and was sayin 75kt cruise?. When I was up there a few months back they had it stripped down in the hanger, I couldnt believe how bent the keel was from the test flying. Any info would be appreciated. Cheers Alf

  5. G'day Peter, Great news you starting your flying lessons, sounds like you got a bit of time in with the lessons, well done, yeah turbulence is something you never know how rough it is until it gets you, all you got to remember is the trike will most likely handle a lot more than your comfort zone will allow you, over time you will get used to it but even now with me after 450 + hrs I still get caught in something that is unexpected and I don't like it but deal with it as you have nothing else you can do. I hope you get over to the gathering of moths as I will be there from friday 21st and staying 2 nights and leaving to come home sunday arvo, I plan on flying over to Porepunkah from Mt Beauty sometime friday after I set up, so hopefully I will be able to catch up with you and meet you in person. Till then well done and enjoy your training Alf

  7. Peter, Congratulations on your purchase of my old trike, as I said I had no troubles with it mechanically or anything while I had it, I actually flew that aircraft from my home base at west sale over to porepunkah not long after i bought it. I did 180 hrs in it over a period under 2 years so I used it quite regulary. I hope it serves you well peter as it did me as it was a lovely aircraft when I had it and it should give you many years of service if you look after it, just make sure you use a good quality 2 stroke oil in it, Greg will be able to help you with that. Hopefully I maybe able to catch up with you at a flyin or 2 as i attend them, I will be flying up to the gatering of moths at Mt Beauty on the weekend of the 21st of November. Cheers Alf
