I've been reading with avid interest the experience of those who have built before me. As I'm working on my wings for my Savannah S, I have been noticing the posts regarding upgrading the fuel lines to avoid fumes in the cockpit. I gather that older kits have rubber fuel lines in the wings, with my new Savannah S kit, the fuel lines are aluminum tube with very short rubber hose connections. Has anyone built with this material? How are the fume issues with the latest material in the new kits? (solid tube lines). I haven't gotten to the point yet where I know what to do with the corrugated fuel lines...

I just read up to your last page, 51. Do you have any pics of your twin stick mod?

Thanks, I'll read up on Lyndon's thread.

Oops, I just saw your reply to my question on the other thread, sorry for doubling up :)

I have been taking flight lessons in a factory built Savannah, I LOVE how she handles, especially in the wild winds of West Texas. I just posted a question about my fuel tank install. The ICP manual is a bit.... vague from time to time ;-)) It calls for Loctite 577 on the threads of the tank fitting. Is that what also keeps the fuel from leaking around the fitting in the tank itself? Is there something better? Your construction thread is the reason I joined this site, it has been VERY helpful!! Thanks for taking the time to share.

Hello all, first time poster and new Savannah S builder. I could use some help... The ICP manual is a little less than detailed... I'm preparing my fuel tanks to install and the manual calls out Loctite 577 for the threads of the tank-to-hose fitting. Will that also seal the fitting to the tank? Is there something better? Thanks so much!
