    My D18, with a Jabiru motor, is 11 years old now and has over 1000hrs flying time all round NZ. Beautiful in the air but be careful landing, they will ground loop if you get them crossed up on touchdown!

    Have you heard of anyone flying the D18 with a Jabiru 3300? At 85kilos would 100hp be a problem?

      There is a Rotax ULS powered D18 at Te Kowhai, it goes really well.

    Welcome birdmanpete, I have a D18, it has a Jabiru 2200 and has been flying 11 years now, many trips all round NZ, 1000 hrs. Great little airplane!
