Hi Danny, Yes we do have a MRX pcas and have found it to be good generally, it can give some wierd information on the ground but I think it is more of the fact that there is interference reflecting from the ground as once you are airborn it settles down and is more believable, with the shutting down problem we had the same as it chews through batteries fairly fast and we started using lithium batteries to get some life out of it, but now we have it permanently mounted in the dash and have the power hard wired to the aircraft electrics and it is generally not a problem now. I am still happy with the unit from when we bought it about a year or so ago and if I had to buy another one I probably would as it does work 99% of the time reasonably accurate, we have had it tell us there were aircraft near us and we couldn't see them but who is to say they were there or not and we just didn't see them.
