Just curious of people's thoughts. Now days we've got Raa membership and training for recreational pilots which massively reduces the cost for us that want to fly, as well as more ultralight aircraft being developed and built making the new and used market more competitive. We've highly efficient engine compared to the old Lycoming and Continental offerings. Now though with CASA making everything harder with ASIC cards and Raa jacking prices, is everything going to get more expensive from here on? Thoughts?

I would rather use a second hand hirth or Rotax or any purpose designed aero engine as opposed to motorbike or jet ski conversions. YODO (you only die once)

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm learning in a Jabiru 160C, it's a nice plane and the jabs seem to be pretty popular as trainer aircraft. What do you fly?

Yes, the airport here is good and the caravan park here always seems to get great reviews, although I've never stayed there myself. I've only got one hour up of my Ra-aus pilots licence, so about as new as you can get. I used to be very interested in helicopters, but after seeing the price of the CH750 and the performance it delivers, it's hard to justify the cost of powered rotor craft.

Hi Guys and Gals Just saying G'day from Narromine Aus. I'm a student pilot (hopefully not for too long). I'd like to one day build a Zenith CH 750 STOL because I'm very interested in off airport flying and traveling to propertys without airstrips. Thanks Benawen
