brumby a/c
in Brumby
Has anybody flown the brumby. I was wondering how they handle?

i like flying the tecnams but as said above, they do seam to get surface corosion fairly early in their airframe life. ps- i read the tests on the brumby in a couple of magazines- they look well built australian made and different choice of engines -i would go for the rotax or continental

Hi cosmic, rotax 912,s constanly make it to tbo. It would be interesting to find out how many jabiru engine make it to tbo

:big_grin:hello i have around 50/50 split between high wing and low wing aircraft. They do have minor handling differences but, an around an hour check with an instructor. Is all you will need. I personally like flying the technam Golf with the bubble canopy because it has a lot better visibility in turns than in a high wing echo.

i was wondering what is the general consensus regarding liquid cooled engines eg-rotax 912, 582 etc against air cooled engines vw, lycoming jabirus etc, operating in hot conditions eg- northern australia.

hi every one. I got my auf certificate back in 1997 in a lsa 55 jabiru. I loved flying it, but i have not flown one since 1999. I think people are put off by jabiru' s due to their being alot of engine defects continuously appearing in auf/raa magazines over the years. I personaly think their a more defects appearing because their are a lot more of them flying. I fly the technam golf/echo because at six foot i find them comfortble to fit in.i have flown both the tecnam(p2002) and the jab.... I now own a j170.. Question answered?Even if the tecnam were the same price as the jab, i would still have picked the jabiru.Kev

thanks thruster, i think that it will go well, if ken can get it started. Best of luck to Ken.The design looks great and it looks strong. The design seems to have a world wide following.

you only get what you pay for. Just joking. They are good value for the money. It is good to support a qld company.
