failed egt probe (number 2)

Hi all:

 

I recently replaced a failed egt probe on my rotax 912 (about 300 hrs). Now at 400 hrs the other egt probe has also failed. Has anyone out there had similar experiences?

Yeah, had some problems too. Ours had problems at the connection due to such a small current. Try not to have any kinking or movement - ours are wound rather than bent now and fares much better. The 912 can be a bit rough on these delicate joints. If you could send us a picture the boss says he could tell you what the problem is.

Gday Bluey,

 

Yeah i had to replace one a few hundred hrs ago.

 

They are finnicky things the cables on the probes and are better not moved if at all possible once installed.
