I was in the Air Training Corps as a kid and went up in their Cessna 172 plenty of times, but never had the money to get started. I'm sure it's a common story, then married, then kids, and now I have made the decision and the time to finally get airborne. You'll be seeing me round! Onwards and upwards! It's not too far from my place and a much nicer trip (and training area) than Essendon, which was just a little closer. Moorabin, Tyabb, etc were just too far to make them a practical option.
