Oldie but a newbie

Recommended Posts

Afternoon all,

Been around the traps for many years and basically just sitting on the sidelines and lookin in. Finally getting of my bum and get real and involved in something that I and obviously you all love doing "flying and talking about it, and when needed helping anyone who needs it out with what ever I can offer"

Looking forward to enriching my self with more things aviation. I am a Level 2 here in Townsville and will finally be doing something about kicking my business off for real.

Safe flying

G`Dave and 098_welcome.gif.81ff07d492568199326e4f64f78d7bc6.gif. Goodonya! I`ve just got back from an excellent flight in my Drifter... If you`re ever up in the Cairns area, you`re welcome to come in and say G`Day. I also hold a L2 with no restrictions but I only work on my own AC! not brave enough to work on anyone elses! Can`t afford big enough insurance cover.

By the way! Do you know Pat McGrath, he ran his own flying school (if I remember correctly) out at woodstock. He started instructing at the same time as I did. As far as I know he stoped instructing many years ago. I`m just wondering if he is still around in Townsville.

Frank.

HI Frank, Thanks for the welcome.

As a matter of fact I actually started my flight training with Pat out at ACE aviation (Starks Field) didnt finish with him but thats another story. He got out of flying many many moons ago, have absolutely no idea if he's even still in town, or obviously what he is up to, Can make some enquiries tho.

Actually just did nearly 2 hour myself on the drifter at Bluewater toady, getting my low performance, 2 stroke completed to add to the licence was a good day for it very bumpy and a good crosswind for nearly every landing so nothing like jumping in the deep end right out the box. Can certainly say the drifter is nothing like my Caddy tho..

Once my Bushcaddy is back in the air will definitely be coming up north to stretch her wings and get the cob webs out, so will take you up on the visit.
