Tara DHC6 at Jumla bounced landing

A Tara Air de Havilland DHC-6-300 Twin Otter, registration 9N-AEV performing a flight from Nepalgunj to Jumla (Nepal) with 18 passengers and 3 crew, landed on Jumla's runway 27 at about 14:53L (09:08Z) but bounced in increasing oscillations, veered off the runway and came to a stop past the runway end entangled in the airport perimeter fence. There were no injuries, the aircraft sustained substantial damage to its nose gear and nose section.

 

The airline confirmed the aircraft suffered a runway excursion while landing in Jumla, all 18 passengers and 3 crew are safe.

 

The airport reported the aircraft suffered a puncture of the nose wheels on landing and became uncontrollable.
