hey there SERGIE,

welcome to the forums and im sure you will have a ball here and get plenty of help.

I recently got an Iphone and ill list the apps that i have:

NAIPS: for weather and flight plan submission. about $10

Pilotwhizz: all sorts of conversions, heading calculator and weight and balance $0 free version

Dial A Wis: has a hell of alot of contact numbers for airfields all over the place. $0 i think

VFR communications: its for american air but its about 50 minutes of cleverly put together video with radio calls and a bit about airspace, good for students.

and finally ATC 4.0: its a game but a great one. $10

well there the flying related apps i have on my iphone.

just be warned that with NAIPS you will want a good mobile internet pack so you dont go over any limits.

Thanks everyone for promoting Dial-A-Wis! ;-) 350 of you lot have it on their iPhones now!

This thread inspired me to put in another couple of hours and get "recent" numbers implemented. I just submitted it to the store, so expect an update soon!

As for my most used aviation apps:

- FlightTouch for calculations and conversions

- LogTen lite for logs. But this is really only useful if you use LogTen Pro on a Mac, which I do.

- NAIPS

- Pkt Weather, includes BOM radar.

I also have a bookmark on my home screen to the no-login-required Internet Briefing Service to get access to weather and NOTAMs quick. Works for other areas also, of course!
