shags_j
So when you see ads for syndicates saying minimum 100hrs, do they mean in total flight time or as PIC?
Guest Crezzi
I think its usually PIC for insurance purposes Cheers John

Tracktop
I assume your question is are your training hours with an instructor on board included? Are you not still PIC in this situation? ??

Barefootpilot
I'd ask the question if they mean total time or PIC some insurance companies want one others want the other.
Skyhog
Every time I've been asked for insurance purposes it has been total time.
Guest Maj Millard
Insurance companies I've delt with are talking total time. They seem to like 250+ hours or more for some reason. A syndicate may want total time PIC............................Maj..
Benjamin Pitt
I assume your question is are your training hours with an instructor on board included? Are you not still PIC in this situation? ?? No, you would be logging dual time, and the instructor logs PIC time.
shags_j
That's what I thought
poteroo
Syndicates are more likely to be interested in your hours-on-type in the 1st instance, then total PIC hours. Insurers are also very interested in whether you maintain currency on the aircraft, eg, within the last 90 days. With lowish total experience, currency is all important. happy days
