  2. ......race in the Le man's style where you start from the public bar hot foot it to the airfield then fly {avref for a change}  to Vic, avoid the lockdown areas and land with no landing fees speeding tickets general fines or being locked up for any other reason......

  3. ....... ahhhahh but it is still all in fun. I have heard it said {in fact I have said it myself} that a taildragger landing is not finished till you are halfway through your first cuppa. Another view is not finished till your pants are off.......

.......make a massive return, enough for Salty to go buy a new European exotic "plastic fantastic" LSA. So Salty was perusing the glitzy websites for the choice of his dreams, when OT interrupted his dreaming.

"What about keeping your money here, and buying a local product?", he said. "I've got a mate who's got a new design, straight off the drawing board, 100HP gives you 130 kts at 10 litres an hour, it's rated at 600kg MTOW, comes with a 'chute as standard equipment, and the interior has to be seen to be believed!"

"Let me see it!", exclaimed Salty. "When's it in production?" "He says, end of this year", said OT. "There appears to be a sizeable waiting list already, though, you may have to be patient."

"Can I get the interior done in the finish of my choice?", said Salty eagerly. "I'm quite impartial to a rabbit fur finish, and.......

......then the test flight numbers came out. As usual the real performance is somewhat different to the advertised numbers. The 130 kt. is theoretically possible but at 17000'. To get 100 hp at 17000' you need an engine with about 250hp. The 10 l/h is the idle fuel burn. Then there is the small matter of useful load with the 6 cyl lycoming up front the empty weight is 550kg.plus some fuel, no margin for a pilot. {just as well 'cause the cg. to balance the engine puts the fuel at the rear} All is not lost however because all the bunny fur will make the whole lot bounce a bit when it runs out of fuel and the cg. moves forward resulting in a near vertical dive......

  7. ......the landing weight and c of g will not be a problem if the spacecraft stays up for a while longer than planned. We just eat all the breeding intruding pax. keep the furry tails for evidence for the bounty money and we will cruise through the waiting ramp check, no probs.....

  8. ......authority over the others to raise havoc, that is until the really big bucks {the two meter tall ones with the big strong tails} decided to take over and really show these furry little bunnies how to breed. Talk about population explosion. Now there is a major problem with w&b. {avref} over gross by 3000% and aft c of g {another avref}. .......

Dear NES readers please figure out how the spacecraft can be over gross and out of balance with no gravity

  9. ......it became necessary to pick up bits of fur to make up bunny tails as evidence of each kill. it is very fortunate that there are thousands of extra bunnies to shoot at which also explains why each shot gets three bunnies. {they congregate in groups so it is easy} It is also relevant that some bunnies are a meter or so tall with big long tails and are easy to shoot and the bits of fur from one of these will make up a couple of dozen normal bunny tails so the bounty can be a bit lucrative at times........

Further investigation revealed that hollow points have a similar result to using Haval transmission behind a Cummins, small hole going in and very large hole going out......

    ....not Chinese.

"Yes it is" said Wong. "Not it's not" said Xi and this went on for 30 minutes because Chinese cannot afford to lose face.

Finally, Wong, who was staring a job at the sale mines in Mongolia, suggested "If it didn't have a Toyota engine would it be Chinese?"

"Of course" said Xi, smiling and 30,000 Toyota engines were dumped off the swimming pier at Tianjin, which meant you now had to be very careful not to kick downwards around the pier.

So now they needed to find an engine for the Haval as well as the aircraft, and up stepped Bex with ....................

I stand corrected. I have never found Williamtown easy to negotiate, I have never been given a clearance to track coastal at any height immediately. Been held for over half an hour with no explanation then allowed to track coastal. I never had a plan and contacted them direct. Even with no traffic Williamtown/Tamworth/Coffs Harbour were always hard to get on with when trying to get a clearance, busy traffic or not.

Just my two cents worth, never had to contact Williamtown but have had nothing but excellent service from both Tamworth and Coffs. over many visits to their airspace.
