Rudd and Gillard have pumped a heap of cash into the economy, I drive around now and see all the solar panels and its hard to believe it only took a few years to create that industry.
It could be worse, Treasurer Hockey could have done another Telstra to us.
How lucky is Bligh? that QR infrastructure has just dropped a packet

yu can buy standalone knock sensors have a look on ebay. all you need to do is drill a hole into your block to mount it...
-
I wonder what the likelihood that Jab was insured?
-
just about mandatory in an air cooled engine
-
what about a knock sensor?

the simple way would be too connect your EGTs to a multimeter and heat them up. you could try a gas torch.

I noticed when I was going over my tornados both the magnetic compasses where inaccurate, e-w wasn't too bad but n-s was all over the place but if I rotated the compass down toward the north it's less so.

the spacewalker2 is a 2 seater and awesome looking plane when fitted with a ***** engine.
In RAA sphere, the most common 2stroke is a rotax 582 which is 65HP, the most common 4 stroke is a jabiru 2200 which is 85hp.

As a student, if I had the option I would do it. Learning in a class room makes it easier to work out problems than learning through a club

The beauty of a TAFE course is that its geared around part time study and its well structured.
-
How lucky are you to have that option. That course looks like a great way to start your flying lessons.

overheating is caused by overloading the engine.
-
have you had a look @ the RAAs market place to get some idea what stuff people are flying?
-
gotta love the roll rate in an extra 300
-
too melt like that, that engine is severely overloaded. you would think in a hire plane you wouldn't over prop the engine to stop that happening
-
have a look @ your old seals, if they adhere a flat surface you can use the stickon ones.
-
add the thermostat to the oil cooler system to reduce warm up time and startup wear. air cooled engines really do need all the help they can get staying cool, especially in Aus.
-
you look for the poles don't you?
-
If I was putting together the lotto win Tornado I would definitely go for a UL350i engine but I would add a remote oil cooler and remote oil reservoir, 2.5L leaves no margin for error.
Value of BRS?

BRS gives you one more option if you get into trouble. There is no guarantee that your plane won't be written off after you deploy the shoot so its not a cheap solution.
