It's nearly that time, can anyone give any advice about the paint coverings available for polyfiber (stitts). Between Polytone or Aerothane is it a matter of dearer is better or are there any other opinions regarding quality, durability, appearance? The aircraft is a SeaRey Amphib

Looks like I'll be attending my first NATFLY this year, I'll be assisting my partner Ben on the Seaplane Pilots Association stall/display. It would be great to meet some of you, so if you see me, come up and say hello. Ben is about half way through building his Searey and I have recently completed my pilots certificate on a Gazelle at Moruya so come and swap stories! Hopefully next year we'll be flying in. I posted my 'just landed' about 5 weeks ago and during my 2nd stint down at Moruya last week I got to fly my first solo circuit. For anyone contemplating - stop and JUST DO IT! I've never been so scared in my life, I think I flew the whole circuit right wing down, got to 500ft before the runway had even ended, kept looking at the empty seat next to me and thinking 'WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING!!' but I landed pretty well, lucky there was no traffic because I forgot the radio call, but you know you have to leave room for improvement. Graham said on my next visit I should wrap up the first endorsement AND I just bought an awesome brand new set of David Clarks off ebay. Life's great for student aviators. I love it. Di:yin_yan:

Has anyone used the 2 place intercom function on the Garmin SL40? We are building a SeaRey and were looking at this unit, in particular for this function. Any other recommendations? Di:yin_yan:

Mike, Do you use the SL40 'built in' intercom function? I want to put the SL40 in my SeaRey and use its 2 place intercom function if possible. From what i've heard, it a great comm unit but I haven't hard many reviews on its intercom function. Have you any info? Dianne

Temora Does anyone have a contact for Carol at Temora? I met her in the New Year at a friends property at Tilba. At that point I had been unconvinced to taking on flying myself, even though I spend half my life with 'aeros'. She was telling me how much she loved the Gazelle she used to have and I shouldnt let a fear of failure stop me from learning. I did my TIF at Moruya the next day - loved the Gazelle but didnt get to tell her that I am now a student pilot. It would be good to let her know. Di:yin_yan:

payola I asked Graham how much he is paying you guys - and he said 'lots!' My boyfriend did his float and tail dragger endorsements (PPL) with Graham and my other friend that I fly with in a Pitts Special learnt from Graham as well years ago. So he was already highly recommended. It was the Gazelle that convinced me to take the flying on. The other aircraft that I have taken over controls on - Cherokee, Cessna 182, and of course the Pitts, were built for people 6'6 and being 5'5 I could never see over the dash! It was lucky that I did my TIF at Moruya. Di :yin_yan:

Hi, after 5 years of holding the map I've decided to embark on my own flying experience. I heading to NSW south coast next week for my first week of training in a Gazelle (weather permitting) at Moruya. I'm really excited, its not costing anywhere near as much as I thought it would. Flash :yin_yan:
