  1. ERSA say's "No flight permitted except with permission of controlling authority-Temora Historic Flight Club. Non participating aircraft should plan to arrive or depart outside the display times. Priority given to display aircraft except for aircraft in emergency or Emergency Services Aircraft"

Would anyone like us to discuss with the museum to find what they would require from us?

  2. Hi Ian

Looks Great, could this EFB also include the feature's of the above GPS and have AIP's/Dap's/ ERC's with update system etc. USB port or spot for normal sim out of my telstra modem so it can update as you suggest. Will it be approved so we don't have to carry all the usual charlie rap?

Will the GPS have waypoints as well as wac's/VTC/VNC etc

    Cheers Guy

  3. And while out in the Centre check out the creek's flowing into lake Eyre, it is going to be the first or possibly the second time that the Paroo River will flow into the Diamantina River, in history of the white fella being here. Fairlly special I would have thought!

Other than that flying the east coast is much more interesting than flying over baron red ground (although it does have feed on it at the mo!) A bit like flying from Las Vegas out to the Grand Canyon! is what the Centre of Australia can look like!

Will you be here around Easter, big flyin in central NSW west of Sydney!

    Cheers Guy

  4. Hi Damo

Welcome to the forums and Australia, we are west of Sydney at Temora and the Museum has a flying day here to day. At least the Tiger , Spitfire and Sabre will be flying, not sure what else will be thrown in! Should come for a look! Cheers Guy

  5. How About, a = 60 x d / D, where, a = angle off track, d = distance off track, D = distance travelled (from station or last known fix)

so if the distance travelled was 35nm and distance off track was 7nm, then the angle off track is 60 x 7 / 35 = 12 degree's off track

And maybe I missed it! did someone explain that the 1 in 60 rule, is of course the rule of thumb! that if you have travelled 60nm and are 1nm off track that you will have a track error of approximately 1 degree. Or to put the other way if you were to travel 60nm 1 degree off track you should find yourself approximately 1nm off track!

And yes I see Farri has explained this, Oh Well !

  6. EVERY TIME I WALK AWAY FROM MY LANDING'S !

oop's suppose that is a "Landing Experience" not a Flight One

Over Wilpena Pound with my family with gorgeous light returning from "Ettadunna Station" (which is where the Birdsville Track crosses the "Cooper Creek") after we had gone up to see the Lake Eyre Yatch Club hold their Regatta on Lake Kilumpunpunna, last July 2010. This is the lake on the Cooper just before the water gets to lake Eyre. That was also a pretty cool sight seeing Yatch's in the middle of a Desert, sorry open pastoral country!

  7. Hi There Peoples

A Great read and good to meet a few of you at Cazza's!

Managed to escape the Unicom tower this year and actually enjoy some very interesting and informative workshops, although did get called to provide a back up Base Station VHF as the main one had failed. Managed to get it functioning again with a screw driver and some contact cleaner, magic in a CAN !

Looking forward to having a Hangar before next years event ! As we now are the proud owner's of block #75 Temora Airpark, what a Great Place ! Bought our plot in the Retirement Village ! you could say!

    Just Lovin It !

  9. Hi Everybody,

sorry for Neville and his family! Very sad and Hard to take, saw him in Moree a day or two before!

Just wanted to clear up some misleading information in the media report. There is one powerline on the property which Neville was spreading and it is no where near where he would have been working, I have sprayed this farm myself, must admit though no this summer as yet! However earlier in the year!

From the horses mouth I do not believe he hit a Powerline!

Is there any report from the investigation team as yet?

    RIP Neville
