Maybe the previous reported wing tip strike could have something to do with the outcome ?

Would like to know if anyone has problems printing paper back up plans on Ozrunways ? WAC charts will only print full a4 in complete black so you can not see anything and VNC will only print in landscape mode, in portrait it stretches an dis forms plans so the scale is unusable.
-
Just wondering if anyone has used self adhesive Vortex Generator kits on their wings, horizontal and vertical stabilizer surfaces ? Any improvement in performance ?

Have been flying last two days in 35 degree heat and no low pressure warnings since covering sender, gascolator and electric boost pump in the heat reflective tape. I do not have a return line to fuel tanks so I don't think that will be your problem DrZoos.
-
F$@k me, that had to hurt !!
-
Today I bled the fuel line at the pressure sender, wrapped the sender, gascolator and electric pump in thermal reflective tape, checked and used contact cleaner on sender electrical connections and flew for 1.2 hours hassle free with no low pressure warnings. Even in high pitch attitude practising stalls with idle thrust no low pressure warnings . Will now see what a hot day is like next as today was only 21 degrees.

DrZoos,
I will try that and the heat shield. I doubt if the sender is faulty as my aircraft has done 400 hours on the old pump hassle free with a good steady fuel pressure indication.
-
Storchy. The engine purrs like a kitten, just don't like seeing the low fuel pressure indication at rotation.
-
Mine has been dropping well below 0.15 even registering 0.00 for up to 20 to 25 seconds in hot conditions.
Get the occasional low reading in cool conditions which seem to return to correct pressure range within the five second limit. I have also spoken to Floods who have told me I am the only one with the problem. Have also run the drain into a bottle with no improvement. I will try the heat shield.
-
Storchy, No I have a Roko NG4. Never had a problem until I installed the new pump. Post 25 says it is only 90% rectified.
-
Have you solved the problem yet ? I am having the same issues with mine.

What is the correct fuel size hose for Rotax 912uls from the fuel tanks up to the gascolator ? Does it need to be 5/16 all the way to the mechanical pump from the fuel tanks or can it be 1/4 up to the gascolator then change to 5/16 to go to mechanical pump ?
-
What temps are you showing ?
Totally agree Nev,Always felt better once the Evans went in and the head temps went up, I was always a little concerned with lower temps than what Rotax recommended but the temps now are far more stable, still use some tape at during winter months on the oil cooler but the radiator never needs tape during normal operations throughout the year.Alf

Thanks Maj, I will see how I go.

Can anyone offer advise on a good place to route new drain line on the new mechanical pumps or suggest a good catch bottle to run it to ?
-
Thank you.
Oh sorry, the above was for oil lines, fuel lines ar either 1/4" ID or 5/16" ID or whatever the Ml equivalent is. Mostly they are 5/16".Personally I don't buy fuel line unless it has USA written on it, as it just seems to last longer and therefore be safer in the long run. Especially if the lines are not accessible for a long time like in a wing, or under a floor etc......Some of the lesser fuel hose these days is just scary.........Maj... -
Thanks Maj, what about oil hose internal diameter ?
-
Can anyone tell me the correct internal diameter fuel hose to use on 912 installation ? I am talking about from the fuel selector to the gascolator and electrical fuel pump etc.

Chrisb I was merely responding to Exodias post no:35 about the usefulness of Skylines and its free tracking when in a coverage area. I am aware that it is not directly related to this post.
-
I like the idea of using a submitted SARTIME, carrying a 406mhz GPS equipped EPIRB and using Skylines as a third resource for tracking and informing AIRSERVICES and AMSA than can use the tracking site to assist in positioning my aircraft if ever needed.

I don't think a Go Pro does that video quality. Maybee computer animation I think. Some real footage some computer generated.
-
Phil if you use the NAIPS ipad app it has a save feature for area and location weather information. The app is also made by the Ozrunways boys. The app also makes it very easy to submit a SARTIME.

Russ, How did you get screenshots to print on full A4 size ? When I have tried printing them they come out only a but bigger than 1/4 of the A4 sheet.
