Is the bottom aircraft the same type? Looks different. For example canopy looks smaller, the rudder hinge is more upright than the others and the rudder/fin is a different shape.

I kind of like it, but if they wanted it to look like a Spit, they should have deepened the rear fuse and had a smaller canopy.

N504LD is a Hummelbird.
For your conversion it depends on whether they're US or Imperial gallons.
If it's getting 3.856 litres per hour at 100mph, then its fuel economy in US gallons is a poofteenth over 98.1mpg.
If it's Imperial gallons, then the fuel economy is a bee's dick under 117.9mpg.
If my maths is correct.

10 hours endurance off 70 litres with a 912ULS? Who are they kidding?

Didn't know it was lost.

The Spitfireski!
I heard a shocking rumour that the gorgeous elliptical airfoil of the Spit was stolen from Russia.

That looks like fun. I think there must be an error in the dates though - said he built it in only 2 years??

Ah Grosvenor House - I've seen her in the flesh, Shuttleworth Old Warden 2014.

I recall the autogyro's more vividly. Wasn't that James Bond stuff "corny"? Nev
Ah c'mon Nev. Have a look at this and tell me it doesn't get the blood pumping... (suspend your disbelief at the world's slowest missile, and don't look too closely at the hangar scene or you'll see the post they suspended the plane on).

Not to mention, James Bond made it famous!

Certainly looks like a fun machine. I don't think I'd fit.

What a tragedy that a grand dame of the skies like her was broken up for scrap. Didn't it ever occur to them - "Hey, this plane is one of a kind and unique in so many ways - maybe we should park her in a museum for future generations"?

I look at the wheel spats on that thing and wonder.... why?
