I was involved in the Davewood syndicate, but not for a number of years now.
Was back when they operated a red Foxbat 24-4333 and before that a white Foxbat.
At the time the syndicate suited me fine.
Had no problems whatsoever.
The syndicate was run very well.
They had been running the syndicate for a long time before I was involved.

Can anyone suggest what is available in a sunshade to suit the Victa Airtourer. Sure gets hot in a low wing in summer.
Can't seem to find much using Google.

Thanks for letting me know about Cherrabah.

Thanks for the feedback. I will look into those mentioned. 😊

Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for an airfield in the South east Qld region that has a Cafe for coffee etc that I can fly to regually.
I know there are flyings breakfast around at times. I want some place that I can fly to when I want on a regular basis.
I cant find much around. Thought someone may know of somewhere?
Thank you.

In your early days of your flying experiences your skills are not fully reinforced or consolidated, so it's more easy to revert to unease with flying. You may also know mainly One plane and find anything else a challenge. If you've flown a wide variety you don't rely so much of the comfort of a well worn pair of shoes, feeling
. Basic flying skills are like riding a pushbike. Few actually have to start right back at the beginning which took a bit of gettijng used to back then' When you are learning you need at least an hour or more a week or you just stand still . Faster planes you can get behind same as complex ones. You can confuse a plane with one you once flew if you don't watch every move and expect it to be intuitive. Being Different as well as lack of recency can be an issue. Certainly IF you are doing 50 to 100 hours a month you get pretty much in the groove but may get complacent and cut corners.. I've seen many with years away come back and pick it up pretty quickly, especially if they do the required preparation and know any rule changes that affect their operation as well as the speeds and figures for the plane you get in.. Nev
Very well said.

Seems hard to find any information when it is held. I have missed the last two because I found out after it had been on.

If you are not looking for speed the Savannah is a very good option for you. Payload is very good, as Kyle has mentioned.
Is available as a kit and plenty of 19 rego home built available to buy.

I have some hours in a Drifter, I still think of it as one of my favourite aircraft.
Love the view and to sideslip on finals. One of those I miss at times.

I used System Three T-88 and found it to be very good.

I have also flown an XL Savannah with a centre stick and really liked it too.
Now that I'm happy with the Savannah looks I would be more than happy with an XL model.

It is very heavy in the controls. If I had my own it would be a centre stick. Have flown a Foxbat and loved the centre stick, very comfortable to fly.
It is getting a hammering, everyone loves it.

hahahaha, yes grumpy's Savannah.

Love the Savannah, but it took me awhile to get to this.
I always thought they were ugly so never looked twice at one.
Then I had the opportunity to fly one, from the first flight I was hooked.
A fun all round capable aircraft. If I had to complain they are a bit slow.
But everything else about them makes up for this.
Oh, and they are not ugly anymore.
