    its got nothing to do with a "drunk driver"...but if someone decides to get drunk and then drive that is their choice, and they live with the consequences of what ever happens. they are two totally different things. you shouldnt be advocating for these bs laws that restrict everyone in the sky, if someone wants to fly like an idiot and crashes let them, if someone drives like an idiot and crashes let them, the nanny state is bad enough, the state of casa is already overbearing and supporting them is nuts.

     

    the amount of shit i recently had to go through with casa bureaucrats just to register an aircraft is absolutely disgusting and i will never support them or giving them any powers, besides we had a referendum in 1937 asking if the federal government should control air navigation and safety and the government lost the referendum, hows that for democracy?

     

    one day you might make a mistake in the air and get what you wish on others.

     

    the fact that people here think a free person excersising their god given right to fly a plane, should go to jail with murderers and rapists for not having the right government "paperwork" and having paid his "fees" is atrocious.

    "then we'll all be grounded"? are casa our parents? are we 5 years old? we live in a supposedly free democracy, the government cannot protect anyone and idiots will always exist. this guy didnt need any court bullshit he was probably pretty embarrassed about stacking it and it probably scared him half to death, he didnt hurt anyone nor was he trying to, he maybe reckless but thats his choice, the more people support government intervention the worse off we are. you want extra mtow? want to take more pax? etc you want all of these things but support state communist control...

    For those that want to know, Moderators do not have access to PMs. Naturally I do have access because they are in the database the same as posts and everything else because everything has to be stored somewhere for you to access it on your screen. Having said that the only time I would need to spend the time and trouble to log in to the server and go to the actual PM table in the database would be if someone is causing trouble like spamming other users etc. It might frighten you to know that many many people in IT have access to everything you do from the moment you turn your computer on. When you send an email many people can access it however IT people that have access to anything like this must have some degree of responsibility. I once worked in a position where I could access every single thing about every single person who worked in Victoria. There is a rule when working in these types of positions.Also note that the only moderation that is done is when someone breaks the site rules which seems to happen a lot in these types of threads like calling another site user "an idiot" or saying "you are stupid" etc etc etc. I don't care who you are but the mods have to uphold the site rules and edit any posts that are made like this. If you want to call someone else an idiot or say they are stupid then go and do it elsewhere because no one likes, and even deserves not to be, attacked in any way by someone else behind a keyboard. It is so easy and simple to be decent to each other because we are all in this together

     

    Simple, Rule 2.5 says:

     

    "Posts which can be considered rude, unfriendly, angered, ill-mannered, inappropriate, uncalled-for, gratuitous, disturbing, un-respectful, unjust by other site members or site administration are not to be posted."

    why not just write a webapp to pull the tables/columns? easy enough, select * from where user_id =

    I wonder if you could help me to understand why in 10 years here I have never seen one of those on the road?Oh and do you know what the World's safest car was in 2013? You got it, a 100% Chinese brand and built car ....

    Well you can decide if it's bigotry or not, but you just supported the foundation of my argument. It is not a copy by any stretch of the imagination but it bears the similarities for a car company trying to catch a bit of the flavour of a successful car. If I remember correctly, it was the Holden Commodore that first used the Benz ribbed tail lights and they looked good. That's exactly what every main stream commecial car manufacturer does, 2006 Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Hyundai Accent and Chev Cruse - can't tell them apart at 100 meters. the very latest 2015 Chev Cruze and Honda Civic rear ends I can not tell them apart without the aid of the nameplate.

     

    Now go have a look at a Toyota Scion and a Hyundai Cube, make it easier for you, stick you head out the window and have a look at a Falcon and Commodore ... but no mention of copying there - again, only if they are Chinese are they accused of copying. The Commodore had a successful styling flavour and the Falcon didn't so Ford did the natural thing and steered their styling towards the car that was the more successful.

     

    Got bad news for you too, the very latest Chinese offerings are starting to filter through now and all I can say is enjoy your moment while you can. Oh and enjoy your Camry/Commodore/Falcon made in China in a few years time - not gloating, very sad and rather peeved at the successive Oz Governments for letting it happen.

     

    Blokes like you need to stop pointing fingers at other countries and starting pointing them at our own mess, I'd be happy if Australia was copying anything.

    commodore has been made in china since the VE in '06, hence its demise.

     

    ive pulled down both the 3.6lt and the 6.0lt's (notorious for stretched timing chains, breaking lifters, blowing heads, shearing cranks) only to find barcodes reading "GM Shanghai"

     

    the commodore was a decent car until it outsourced to china and died.

    In other cases it's simple bigotry, Toyota, Honda, Chev, Hyundai all have a mid size car that if you squint you can not tell them apart but the moment a Chinese manufacturer makes something remotely similar it's screamed around the World as copying? WTF?

    ive only seen china knock off unlicensed cars, very dangerous knock offs to
