    The B-2 Spirit flew in from Whiteman Air Force Base to make two passes down the runway at RAF Fairford. An awesome sight as it was escorted by two F-15s.

Major Dan "ROCK" Dickinson throttles up, hits afterburners, and propels the F-22 Raptor into a performance, high G, take off at RIAT 2017. Watch his stunning aerobatic routine that includes close formation with a P-51 Mustang.

    Ludo and his family travelled from his home in Belgium to the Wings & Wheels Model Spectacular to demonstrate his giant scale models. This Stearman is powered by a Valach 800cc 7 cylinder radial engine. Awesome sound.

    Awesome SAB RC helicopter demo from Alex Hawtin and Carlos Rossi on the main flight line at Weston Park International Model Show. Alex is flying the new Goblin Black Thunder T and Carlos is flying the Goblin Black Nitro 700. Fantastic skills!

    Gregg Hayfield was back at Wings and Wheels Model Spectacular with his Monster Pitts Python. It is 85% size of the real Pitts Python and looks awesome in its new scheme. Weighing in at 138 Kg, just under the maximum limit as defined by the CAA of 150Kg. The Pitts is scratch built, that means plans, design, construction and materials are all created by the builder to emulate the full size aircraft and it took Greg 5 years to complete this 7/8th scale biplane. The engine is manufactured by Hirth and is usually mounted in man carrying micro light aircraft. 650 cc flat twin with a 63 inch 3 blade propellor.

    Gee Bee R3 racer, a highlight of Weston Park International Model Show. And yes, it has the Moki 300cc 5 cylinder radial engine pulling it along. Anything else wouldn't be acceptable!

    The Phoenix Models Tucano ARF is designed for petrol/gas power but the owner converted it to Wren 44 turbo prop.

    I'm guessing they chose that aircraft because it's the easiest twin to build or to fly. Just speculating...but agree it's not the most exciting RC twin you'll see.

    This model is powered by two 60cc engines. The full size went into production in 1968 and is still produced today.

    Different kettle of fish. These guys genuinley prefer flying an RC plane from the ground rather than sit in the cockpit. Simple as that. Plus the rules and regs for building a full size aircraft have got to be quite a lot more complicated than what is required for a model.

    John Greenfield's Tiger Moth looks majestic in the air and that's before he has even switched on the smoke which makes it look even more exquisite as it performs beautifully executed stall turns above the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre at the East Kirkby Large Model Association Show. The model first flew in 2011, has a wingspan of 4.3 metres, length of 3.1 metres and and weight of 55 Kilogrammes. This model is 50% scale and is powered by a 384cc twin inline petrol engine.     He'll be performing extreme aerobatics with it at future shows and will have ~30% more power. It's a scale replica but he'll be flying it in a very non-scale way...just for entertainment of the crowds.

    The pilot just wasn't ready for the day unfortunately. Steve told me the head was done but the shoulders needed making. No doubt he'll have it done by the next show.
