  1. I think it is the same rules in italy than in france
  2. Hi Phil, In france it is not mandatory, but the Tk weight can be 472.5 Kg with and 450 Kg without BRS
  3. I design differents new flap positions, looking forward to test in real conditions...
  4. To prevent that I always pull the button after manipultate the flap handle to check if it is locked in position. Savannah's flaps handle is probably the main savannah's weakness...
  5. Now my sav is at 174 Kmh (tas) at 5000 rpm with my current pitch, i would be really happy if it match 10 kmh, so i will see how it works and inform you. But first in have to redesign the part to be able to make some set up, the to drill this part. So it will not be before end of january...
  6. On VG XL it seems to be at least 10, 12 ... But i will test in january...
  7. I am working on flaps positions onf my savannah s , creating 1 more position for full flaps, and 1 position negative flaps. So 5 positions. I expect an increasing speed around 10 Km/h, and shorter land distance for very short tracks (lenght less than 80 m). A pict of the concept done by a friend

    Throttle control

So it means that it is only neccessary to creat a new connection on the torque tube cranck like you did, and probably to warp of the solid wire to have the same shape than the original. Thx

    Throttle control

Thank you Rick, Is had a look on the A-820, is it a complete solid wire from the handle to the torque tube cranck ? or a mix cable + solid wire ? I saw on your post that you made a modification on the firewall crossing. Thanks for your explanations Mark, in parallele, i will look for that, we call that in french "presse étoupe" Eric

    Throttle control

Thank you ! Mark, is it a standard locking and sliding system ? do you know the trade and ref ? I could go on this way (the simplest). I saw also the post http://www.recreationalflying.com/threads/my-sav-s-throttles.111309/ But i don't know what kind of controls Rick use (Push pull + locking ?). Rick, if you are reading ?... I had a look on Mc farlane and acs products catalogue but not easy (for me ;-)) to find the right product plug on play on a savannah S... I don't see a rigid wire + locking device, this one should be nice but with a rigid wire http://www.aircraftspruce.com/pages/ap/controls_00throttle/controlsMC6150a.php

    Throttle control

I want To keep the dual controls and just change the 2 control handles for a push pull with micrometric locking system but i did'nt fund the right product. The icp is unpleasant (912 takes rev in short or when you use flap handle) I Will also change the carburator Spring
  12. Hi, I plan to change my icp throttle controls for a better ... (more smooth and with a good and reliable locking system). Could you advise one which is plug and play ? Thx
  13. Thank you good to know, i will contact them !
  14. Thank you for your answer ! Does it suitable for S version ? Does somebody have a picture in situation ? Is it easy to install ? Is it come from Australia or could we find that in europe ? Thx
  15. Hi, Like many savannah owner, i am not completly satisfied by the the door looking. Suction and opening (close to 1 cm) of the rear area of the door appear at 160 Km/h... So there is a air flow... Does somebody find a suitable solution for this ? Some of you use this device ? http://www.aerokits.net.au/prod02.htm Does it works well ? Is it suitable for Savannah S ? Thanks in advance !
  16. For stol landing with a savannah S, i use : 75 To 70 km/h with 1 flap level In short : 65 To 60 km/h full flaps Engine rotation around 2200 rev / min Final rotation you will be around 45/50 km/h then high nose BUT you need To be acustomated to use these parameters and réally feel the savannah. The most important point. With that you fan expect To have a Rolling less than 60 meters... Or less... Ex: But really before using these parameters work your feeling at highest speed and take in account Mto conditions. It is better To achieve a good landing but longer than an short er but hard and dangerous... Just To warn...
  17. In the case you should see a petrol leakage. you can Check engins off , électricité pump on. Rotax applied a BS beginning of this year, a pair of floats havé To be less That 7 g. Mine were concerned. With the fuel excedent return to the left tank, you should not havé bubbles or vapor lock. But Facthunter is right it can appear be an highest temps of the carburator body (usuelle few minutes alter stopping the Warm engine) To prevent this i open the oil flap to help To cool the area upper the exhaust. It is also good for the cdi (They do not accept high temp )
  18. Nice picts ans i imagine Zimbabwe like an beautiful country!
  19. We accept Aussies if they are ready to play for the French rugby team Brits also are welcome ! (But not for rugby ) To be serious i am sure That there are many great Fly to realize in your countries ! Please share ! And make us dream !!
  20. Hi To my opinion air box température should not be a problem. Just you Will havé less power in this conditions in comparison with 20 celcius. Savannah with the fuel return si not sensitive To the Vapor lock, but 100 ll help also in this Way. But leaded petrol is acceptable but not good for the rotax 912. My pressure is close to 5 psi what is your ? Électric pump is used Only in case of issue with the mecanical one.
  21. For those who like mountain flying, and who know (or not) the Mont Blanc Massif I flightlast week end , it was really great conditions, Few mountain airfieds (Megeve / Meribel / Courchevel / Saint roch mayeres / L'arpette) Google earth GPS Track videos : GoogleEarth_Repère.kmz GoogleEarth_Repère.kmz GoogleEarth_Repère.kmz
  22. I am located near lyon and also in the south (var). In france We can have our private tracks with an ultralight (With plane we are obliged to use official airfields). So, it is suitable to travel by ultralight. Did you come in France ?
  23. Nice plane, really interesting that use use a Dmotor, Good Job
  24. I did not have issue with the e-props hubs( take care there are 3 differents), i have the last generation from september (Monobloc 120 carbon spacer). I don't know what kind of model you use. I saw some epoxy cracks on another but it is just aesthetic and not in the melt carbon / epoxy, so don't worry. But you have a D-motor so it is without reduction so i think that you have to sue the same than mine (monobloc). I know very well e-props (Jeremy and anne) if you need any help, do not hesitate..
  25. I had the same problem, - Put the sav on the tail slider, normally if your plan is balance it will stay like that - Deflate the tyres and make a "massage" of the tyre to be sure that the tube is at the right place then reflate at 0.8 b if you can make a balance of the complete wheel - Check the bearings wheel - Check the upper fitting of the suspension arm (if you have too much gap it can also come from some cracks in the firewall) - Check the sliding of the suspension arm, the gap is less than 1 mm. You can reduce bu de / re sassembly of the plate. -Check also the fitting bolts and nuts of the fork If you don't need bush tyres, you can also use another tyre like 6x6 airtrac I hope it could help you.
